He received a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Pre-Med and a B.S. in Engineering Physics with minors in Chemistry and Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine in Orono. After winning the draft lottery he served for seven years in the National Guard and reserve before volunteering for the army to visit Germany as a German linguist. He is presently pursuing his interest in biotech, embedded systems and astronomy.
